The oil and gas industry demands precision, speed, and absolute reliability. For over four decades, EN-FAB Inc. has stepped up to meet these rigorous demands. Founded in 1980 by Daniel Industries Inc., our company started as a dedicated engineering, fabrication, and packaging firm. We have grown significantly since those early days. Today, we stand proud as a premier global leader in the design and production of specialized surface equipment. We excel in metering, measurement, and enhanced oil recovery solutions.

Our corporate journey is built upon three core pillars. These pillars are unyielding professionalism, deep technical dedication, and clear communication. Over the years, we have successfully executed more than 3,916 projects. Through these efforts, we have earned the trust of over 2,141 customers worldwide. We consistently deliver top-tier engineering solutions across the United States and international markets. Our ultimate goal is to transform complex industrial concepts into high-performing field realities.

Comprehensive Onshore and Offshore Production Facilities

Engineering design and high-quality fabrication form the true backbone of our business operations. We specialize in creating robust equipment for both onshore and offshore production facilities. Our technical teams possess deep expertise in this field. They manage the entire life cycle of production equipment from initial concept through to final construction. We build a wide array of essential surface systems. These systems include complex two-phase and three-phase separators, heavy-duty heater-treaters, and advanced desalters. We also produce efficient demulsifiers, glycol dehydration units, fuel gas skids, and vapor recovery units.

However, we do more than just manufacture equipment in a factory. We also provide qualified service technicians to support our clients on-site. These experts manage critical start-up services and equipment commissioning. This complete service model ensures that all units operate at peak efficiency from day one. Our unique blend of engineering skill and field support sets us apart. It has made us an industry leader in supplying Early Production Facilities (EPFs).

Accelerating Production with Early Production Facilities

Time is money in the energy sector. Oil companies constantly face immense pressure to bring new fields online quickly. They must generate revenue in the shortest timeframe possible. To solve this problem, EN-FAB designs and deploys comprehensive Early Production Facilities. An EPF is a fully integrated system designed to produce oil and gas rapidly. It also safely manages and disposes of produced water. These versatile systems usually operate on land, but we also design barge-mounted facilities for marine environments.

Our custom EPF systems generally handle fluid capacities ranging from 5,000 to 60,000 barrels per day. We pack these facilities with all the necessary equipment to treat oil, gas, and water effectively. This includes high-performance separators, heaters, scrubbers, and water treatment systems. We also integrate vital utility infrastructure like independent power supplies, industrial lighting, and control rooms. We mount the entire facility onto specialized structural skids. Our team delivers the modules to the site, interconnects the piping, and commissions the entire system. This rapid deployment strategy allows energy companies to fast-track their cash flow.

The Power of Modular Process Solutions

Modern industrial projects require maximum efficiency and flexibility. Because of this, standard on-site construction is no longer the best option. EN-FAB meets this challenge by providing elite, turnkey modular process solutions. Our expert engineers guide these projects through every single phase. We manage the conceptual design, fabrication, global delivery, and final site commissioning.

Our modular systems can contain many different unit operations on a single skid. Alternatively, we can link multiple skids together on-site to create a massive, interconnected process plant. We deliver these systems as complete turnkey structures. They arrive at your site with all pressure vessels, reactors, heat exchangers, and pumps already installed. The modules also include all necessary instrumentation, wiring, valves, and piping. We mount everything securely within a heavy-duty structural steel frame. This strong frame protects the delicate equipment during global shipping. It also provides safe walkways for operators during future maintenance work.

Strategic Advantages of Modular Plants

Choosing modular plants over conventional on-site construction offers immense strategic advantages. First, it greatly improves project safety. We construct each self-contained unit off-site in a highly controlled factory environment. This setup allows us to store materials securely and protects them from weather damage. It also eliminates many of the safety hazards common to busy field construction sites.

Second, modular designs offer unmatched operational flexibility. The energy market changes quickly, and companies must adapt to survive. Owners can modify modular facilities easily in the future. You can simply add new modules to increase production as demand grows. Alternatively, you can modify existing modules to pivot toward more profitable market opportunities. Finally, we perform strict Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) on every system before it leaves our shop. This testing ensures that the equipment arrives at your job site completely production-ready. As a result, we drastically reduce field start-up times and eliminate costly installation errors.

Advanced Industrial Heating Technology

Precise temperature control is absolutely vital for smooth oil and gas processing. EN-FAB designs and manufactures high-efficiency indirect-fired bath heaters to handle this task. The industry often refers to these systems as line heaters. They have a long, proven track record of success in gas plants, pipelines, and power generation facilities.

These advanced systems operate by submersing a process coil into a heated bath solution. The bath fluid then transfers heat indirectly to the oil or gas flowing inside the coil. This smart design allows for incredibly safe, uniform, and efficient heating. We utilize water, water-glycol mixtures, or specialized hot oil as the bath medium depending on the process needs. For highly specialized applications that require extreme operating temperatures, we offer gas-fired salt bath heaters. These units utilize molten salt to achieve the elevated temperatures that standard bath fluids cannot reach.

Proven Global Success: A Case Study in Oman

Our extensive experience in creating skid-mounted systems spans over 35 years. We provide fully integrated process skids for many different operations. These include fuel gas pressure reduction systems, chemical injection skids, and Lease Automatic Custody Transfer (LACT) units. We also build fuel gas conditioning systems and next-generation, AI-powered packaged production systems.

Our global footprint is highlighted by major international projects. For example, we designed and built a massive Modularized Natural Gas Pretreatment Unit for a prominent steel plant in the Sultanate of Oman. This complex, high-capacity package required absolute precision. It featured a robust suite of equipment including cold separators, scrubbers, and molecular sieve dehydrators. We also integrated a dedicated regeneration package and a highly sensitive mercury removal unit. Finally, we included a precise pressure regulating and measurement package along with a gas-fired salt bath heater. This entire system was delivered as a functional, modular masterpiece. It highlights our ability to meet strict international engineering standards.

Optimizing Separation with Horizontal Heater Treaters

Emulsion separation is another critical challenge in the oilfield. EN-FAB solves this with our advanced horizontal heater treaters. These units speed up the separation of stubborn oil and water emulsions by applying targeted heat. You can think of a heater treater as a low-pressure, three-phase separator equipped with internal fire tubes. The system removes gas from the incoming fluid stream. It then splits the remaining emulsion into distinct, clean water and oil phases. These versatile vessels are multi-functional. They can serve as a free water knockout, a heat exchanger, an internal filter, and a water wash tank.

We typically install heater treaters downstream of a two-phase separator in high-pressure systems. In low-pressure operations, we place them downstream of the wellhead, a free-water knockout, or a gun barrel tank. Operators use heater treaters when retention time and chemical demulsifies alone cannot break an emulsion. Adding heat is necessary to finish the job. Heat lowers the viscosity of the crude oil. This change allows the heavier water droplets to settle out much faster. The thermal energy also creates molecular movement. This movement encourages tiny water droplets to collide, coalesce into larger drops, and separate completely. Through these advanced thermodynamic methods, EN-FAB helps producers achieve pristine oil quality every day.
